Meet the passionate team behind Dashwoods Accountants Limited.
Rebekah joined us in June 2013, after working for 8 years in a similar sized accountancy practice. Rebekah has gained a wide range of experience working for both corporate and individual clients. She specialises in tax and year end accounting but is always eager to assist with other matters such as bookkeeping, VAT and company secretarial services. Rebekah qualified in 2014 and came 2nd worldwide in her final 5 ACCA professional exams. In February 2019 Philip passed the firm across to Rebekah, who is now the managing director. However Philip continues to work in the firm.
Philip has over 30 years of experience working for the firm. Prior to that he worked at the department of employment for a year. He succeeded his father as the managing director of the firm in 2006 before passing the firm to Rebekah Haywood. Philip has extensive business experience and can offer general advice on running your business or more technical taxation and VAT matters. Philip also has experience with the Sage and Quickbooks bookkeeping systems. Philip enjoys watching football and most other sports such as golf and tennis. He is also involved with Wycombe Homeless Connection where he has been a volunteer in a night shelter for the homeless.
Peter joined Dashwoods in 1990 and has extensive experience in tax. He previously worked for HMRC for 3 years as a collector of taxes and spent 10 years working for PKF. Peter has also worked for HFC bank as an assistant manager.
Paula has worked in our payroll department for more than 7 years. She has worked as an admin clerk for TAS transport for 6 years. Paula specialises in VAT and Payroll. She is also experienced in Sage bookkeeping and accounts production. Paula enjoys walking her dog, Fudge and having a drink at one of our local pubs, The gate.
Amanda joined Dashwoods as a trainee in 2017. She is currently assisting with accounts production, payroll, bookkeeping and tax returns. She has a Bsc degree in Psychology and is in the middle of completing her ACCA exams at the applied skills level and subsequently will complete exams at the strategic professional level in ACCA. Amanda enjoys helping with children's work in her church and Lighthouse, staying fit at exercise classes and going camping in the summer.
Wil served in The City of London Police and Avon & Somerset Constabulary before returning to a career in finance in 2008.He is an ICB and AAT qualified bookkeeper, has a good working knowledge of online accounting software, and is one of the few people to believe in the potential of The Government's MTD (Making Tax Digital) policy. He likes motorcycles and old Land Rovers.
